It's that time again. It's time for the seniors in the Department of Art & Art History at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) to display their latest works. Twice a year the class collection is put up for display next to works by artists who have been invited from across the nation.
But unlike going to a stuffy museum, visiting the Cultural Arts Building Art Gallery won't leave a dent in your wallet. All exhibits at the gallery are free of charge and are open to the general public.
Of course that means you can't support the artists or the school, but the UNCW will graciously accept your support. Your donations will help future art students have access to the equipment they need and will help to bring in visiting artists and scholars.
The UNCW Cultural Arts Building is a recently completed structure that houses more than 100,000 square feet of academic facilities that are dedicated to Art, Art History, Music and Theatre.
The Art Gallery in the building houses exhibitions from the students and faculty and also serves as the open reception area for each event.
